A Night to Dismember
by Wil Greenway
BEST COMEDY and BEST COMEDY PERFORMER (nominee) at AUCKLAND FRINGE 2013
A low budget/hi fantasy, heavy hearted comedy about inadequacy, asteroids, and the shark that ate my arms.
written and performed by Wil Greenway
directed by Kellie Tori
In March of 2012 A Night To Dismember premiered at The Tuxedo Cat as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. In front of eleven people, Wil performed his first solo show - nobody died, he still considers this a raging success.
"The style is an interesting and at times hilarious collision between a flowery, slightly mouldy poetry, full of extravagantly detailed and alliterative figures, and rough colloquialisms." ★★★★ Time Out (AUS)
“Hilarious...Imagine that the dorkiest kid in your school told you the most incredible story, with the eloquence of Charles Dickens.” Three Weeks (UK)
“This play is completely original and confounding. Greenway is a talented character actor and with its black and macabre humour there’s a lot to like in this piece...I suspect we can expect great things.” Edinburgh Spotlight
